Guitar lessons in Hong Kong, one student at a time
A private studio in North Point where every lesson is taught by the same teacher, at your pace, on your goals.
Most guitar lessons in Hong Kong are group classes in a shared room, or a rotating cast of teachers. K-D Studio is the opposite: one room, one teacher, one student. You book a time, you come in, and the hour is yours.

What a lesson looks like
We start from what you actually want to play. If that is a song you have been humming for years, we build the technique around it — chords first, then rhythm, then the parts that make it sound like the recording. If you are starting from zero, the first month is about clean chord changes, keeping time, and getting a sound you like out of the instrument.
- Beginners: open chords, strumming patterns, reading chord charts, first three songs
- Returning players: fixing barre chords, timing, and the habit of stopping when you make a mistake
- Intermediate: barre and movable shapes, pentatonic and major-scale soloing, tone and effects
- Exam or audition: Rockschool / ABRSM repertoire, sight-reading, and a realistic practice plan
Electric, acoustic or classical?
All three are taught in the same studio, and you do not need to decide before you arrive — most people start on whatever guitar they already own. If you are buying your first instrument, we will tell you what to avoid in the HK$1,500–3,000 range before you spend the money.
How the 8-lesson course works
Eight one-to-one lessons, either one per week or two per week if you want to move faster. After the course you can continue with single lessons, or move into a specific track: electric guitar technique, classical repertoire, theory and composition, or DJ.
One-to-one lessons in North Point, by appointment. Trial lesson HK$200 / 30 min.

Do I need to bring my own guitar?
You can, and it is better for practice habits. If you do not have one yet, come to the trial first and we will advise before you buy.
