The classical guitar, together with the piano and the violin, is known as one of the world's three great instruments, which shows its important place in classical music. Our classical guitar course mainly teaches students by starting from the concepts and theory of classical music, with the aim of teaching students to master the classical guitar's distinctive, traditional playing techniques, while also deepening their accomplishment in appreciating the classical guitar.
Why choose individual guitar lessons? The content of each course is built around the student's own goals, experience and musical preferences. A student's needs and preferences are what hold their attention, so lessons are student-centred: the tutor works at each student's own pace, not to a fixed schedule.
Course Features
Our classical guitar course is taught by a member of our studio, guitarist Kislyak Evgenia from Moscow. Kislyak graduated from the folk instruments faculty of the Gnessin Music Institute. Besides being a guitarist, she is also a member of an ensemble and an accompanist. Lessons can follow Kislyak's own course plan, or be based on the ABRSM examinations.
The course fee for sheet music and teaching materials includes the teaching materials and sheet music compiled by the tutor, who imparts the relevant musical knowledge and techniques according to each student's level and interests. (However, at the institution's request, students taking examinations need to purchase specific books and sheet music.)
Language
Kislyak's lessons are conducted in English.
